Alex had begun to balk at their fun and games. He was regrowing a conscience and that she could not have. His last tie to his humanity needed to be severed. Having convinced Alex that he needed to go home and see the sister whom he missed so terribly much, he did. And as she suspected would happen, Alex drained her dry in a fit of bloodlust.

Well, his niece, whom he didn't realize he had and who was the spitting image of her mother, his sister. When Alex realized what he'd done, and thinking he had killed his sister, he returned in a rage.

The fighting started, and eventually, she let him go, thinking he would return. When he didn't, she started hunting him down. Of course, when she realized he wasn't returning, she paid a little visit to the sister, herself. Told the girl exactly what happened to her loving daughter and who was responsible and ... she tried to stop him, but it was entirely too late.... Then she turned the sister and told her that together they would exact revenge...For over six and a half centuries the little bastard has eluded her. And then he went and fell in love, and settled down in one place.... Bad move on his part.
